In 2020 I graduated from a master's degree in software engineering at the Center for Research in Mathematics (CIMAT), Mexico.
Unaware and naive about the industry, I decided to apply for Ph.D. in Computer Science at Cambridge, where I failed during
the admission process which was so disappointing for me.
Reflecting on this outcome I decided to look for more tangible and broad work, where I could apply my data science knowledge
to the industry; I also did not want to spend 4 more years in academia. Furthermore, my first job as a data scientist was
for a well-known retail company in Mexico.
After a year, I switched to a consulting company called Alfa Consulting in Spain, where I was part of the back-end team applying
data analysis and AI algorithms to different projects. Right after 6 months, Accenture acquired the company where I started
working on global projects.
Talking with a dear friend and some stranger at the gym, I figured out, although I was still learning using different
tools and deal with clients; I wasn't doing anything for the community and future generations, I wanted to start doing
side-projects and share my knowledge to students and other colleagues. This is where my journey started.
My projects will be focused on social impact and sustainability using data science methods, mostly focused on data visualizations
that can make an impact on society, spread knowledge of the current problems, and illustrate what we can achieve with data.
I'm in my first steps, updates will be published as soon as I finished something, I will try to do my best to make share awareness and impact on society.
Please, contact me if you would like to collaborate or start on any project. I would be more than happy to help.
